Considering that Sqeenix

just released Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes on the iPod for $5... I was wondering if Nintendo would take the "necessary steps" with the DS and DLC. It's beyond me: the big N loses money constantly with "exclusive" releases like the Korg DS-10 which has been pirated in two days and downloaded by thousands already (there is a post about that and the DS piracy / homebrew scene at CDM). The other weird thing is their policy to use the Wii as a DLC hub for the DS. It's just plain stupid (however, I see their reason in that), and it leaves us non Wii-owners out in the cold.

Just some random ramblings as a first post on the blog.

Agreed. People use the R4 and its siblings for "checking out" their games (potetnial buys) and they're right in most cases. Just look at the two thousand something library of the DS - ninety percent of those games are plain crap. Nintendo should do the iTunes thing (not the demos on the Wii thing) and we would gladly pay the 5 bucks for the minor titles. Even if they suck.

BTW Tetris DS was one of those rare titles that worth its price :)

Regarding the DS and Wii and it's piracy - I will admit I have used an R4. A lot.
However sometimes I can't justify paying out £30 for Tetris when I can buy Soul Calibur 4 for £9 extra. It makes no sense why DS games are so expensive.

The Wii is worse - seeing that most titles are mini games hitting up to £39 sometimes!
