CROWS×WORST BLACKLIST:BOYA HARUMICHI

This is a figure of Boya Harumichi, from a super-interesting manga called "CROWS".
It's explosively popular in Japan.

Compare the size of the figure to the size of the CD in the background. It's a pretty small figure.

Next Monday, I'll introduce another "Crows: Blacklist" figure in detail.

greetings!

i'm happy to read your new blog, as i've been a huge fan of grasshopper games (since the silver case). what's cool about these games, particularly (killer 7) is they require outside the box thinking (something hard for most mainstream gamers who normally need everything explained to them). games aren't real life, so trying to apply real life rules arbitrarily to the game experience makes the end result less enjoyable.

in other words, kids - don't think about what you'd rather be playing - play games to enjoy what the developer has come up with. you'll enjoy yourselves a lot more this way.

And now the level from killer7 in which you collect the little figurines makes sense. Or more sense, at least.

I've always wondered why more gamemakers don't include specific details in their games that reveal something about their interests or personalities. I think that may be what I most like about your games - they feel like they were made by people; not just as an amorphous whole, a collective people, but distinct, living humans.

The most positive explanation I can imagine for this trend is that the business people in charge squash these elements to make something they think will be more appealing to the mass market. My dark suspicion, though, is that many gamemakers are simply very dull people. I hope that's not true.
