"Ultraman A" was a bit of an odd man out, even by "Ultraman" series standards.
This diorama is a recreation of a famous scene from episode 14 of the series. It's designed so that it can be combined with the diorama from episode 13.(Sagaracci)

The VF-1J (Valkyrie) is a mech from "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross" (apparently known overseas as "Robotech").
This toy usually sits on the desk of Jun Fukuda, one of GhM's sound designers. It can transform from fighter jet to humanoid form.
The toys that came out when the show originally aired in 1982 could also transform, but they've really gotten better over time.(Sagaracci)

The figures in this series are really awesomely detailed. This one in particular is only about 10cm tall. It's really small!
"Rider Man" is a rival character who first appeared in "Kamen(Masked) Rider V3." He started off as a villain, but later became an ally.(Sagaracci)

Suda51 is really busy with E3 and what-not, so I'll be updating the blog for him again this week.
We're going to retread some old ground this time with another "Crows" figure.
The comic started back in 1990, and for the longest time was mainly popular with teenage boys. However, in 2007 Mr.Takashi Miike directed a live-action motion picture based on the series, and its popularity exploded. It's apparently even become popular with female twenty-somethings.
Hey everyone, this is Sagaracci.
Suda51's overseas at the moment, so I'll be filling in for him this time.
Yamaguchi, who sits next to me, recently bought these figures.
The big guy's Caramelman No.1 from the comic "Dr. Slump."
All you Edge readers have probably heard of "Dr. Slump," right?
It was Mr. Akira Toriyama's debut series (he of Dragon Ball fame), and was extremely popular in Japan when I was a kid.
These are Ultra Seven's special poses. From the left:
The ultimate beam, "Wide Shot."
The boomerang-like attack, "Eye Slugger."
His signature knockout technique, "Emerium Beam."
In the spotlight this time is Grasshopper Manufacture's Sagaracci.
In his desk stands Gorillaz's vocalist 2D.
Sagaracci loves UK rock music, especially Primal Scream and The High Fidelity--he's really into the Scottish sound!
He runs an indie record label called Bridgenia, and releases CDs for the Japanese band Neutrino.
