StarCraft II tops the UK all formats chart in its debut week, while Crackdown 2 drops out of the top ten.

StarCraft II: Wings Of Liberty has debuted at number one in the UK all formats charts this week, making it the first PC exclusive to do so this year. Spots two to five stay in order but have all slipped one place to make way for Blizzard's RTS. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has also found its way back into the charts, along with Battlefield: Bad Company 2, both of which were absent last week. Meanwhile, Crackdown 2 drops out of the top ten.

Red Dead Redemption
was the most talked about game last week, but finds itself relegated to third under returning top spot Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and new entrant StarCraft II: Wings Of Liberty with 17,156 and 16,283 comments respectively. Toy Story 3, Dragon Quest IX and Just Dance all drop two places edging out Crackdown 2 and Tiger Woods 11.

Yet again, Lego Harry Potter: Years 1 - 4 pleased the biggest proportion - this week 52 per cent - of those discussing it, while new and returning entries StarCraft II: Wings Of Liberty and Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, along with Red Dead Redemption, managed to keep 50 per cent of their commentators in a positive mood.

As for negativity, Dance On Broadway and Just Dance attract the highest percentage of detractors with 17 and 15 per cent respectively. Players clearly aren't in the mood for dancing.

Most Popular Games

In our monthly look at the most talked about upcoming and released games, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remains top of the pile, but Red Dead Redemption drops from second to seventh, usurped by StarCraft II: Wings Of Liberty. World Of Warcraft, however, remains steadfastly in third. As Halo: Reach's release creeps closer, it moves from eigth to fourth most talked about.

Fifa 10 netted the most positive comments this month, moving up one place to top spot with 52 per cent of its 3825 comments proving upbeat. The remainder of the top five all manage a nearly-as-good 50 per cent, though. The Sims 3, meanwhile, continues to attract the most negativity with 23 per cent of its 6326 mentions.
