Since childhood, I’ve wished to do something for a living that had nothing to do with housing, food or clothing, but that was still necessary for people, such as movies, music, comic books, and so on. I wanted that because I really felt that my sensibilities had been sophisticated through experiencing various entertainment… Why did I choose to make games?
Touching the Nintendo Entertainment System (or perhaps meeting my ex-girlfriend, who bought me this as a Christmas present) was the beginning of everything. Therefore, I’ve been creating games [out of] gratitude toward pieces and people I met before I ‘met’ videogames. Pleasing people is a great pleasure.
