BioWare insists it is listening to complaints about Mass Effect 3's ending, but has asked fans to wait for more people to finish the game before the studio makes any comment. So dissatisfied are players with the trilogy's conclusion that a fan-organised campaign, dubbed Reclaim Mass Effect 3, has garnered support from thousands of users on Facebook, Twitter and the game's forums. Organisers of a petition pleading with BioWare to change the ending of Mass Effect 3 have raised over $30,000 for gaming charity Child's Play. The campaign, dubbed Retake Mass Effect 3, has almost 25,000 likes on Facebook and 3,000 followers on Twitter, with a poll on BioWare's forums attracting almost 10,000 votes. Capcom has apologised to Xbox 360 owners of Street Fighter X Tekken, admitting it cut an advertised feature from the game due to time constraints. The publisher's latest is a two-on-two fighting game which lets two players pair up for online fights. Shortly after the game's release last week, Xbox 360 owners complained that two players on the same console were unable to play online, a feature which is available to PS3 owners and is listed in both versions' instruction manuals. Hiroshi Kawano, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, has promised that the company's next PS Vita web broadcast will be much improved. In a blog post translated by Andriasang, Kawano recognises that last week's "Welcome! PS Vita Game Heaven" broadcast did not meet user expectations, and says he and his staff are using this "harsh criticism" as a lesson for its future work. More >

Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson has revealed his frustration at his every word being taken as fact, saying that unless people "stop hyping" he'll stop being "open and transparent on Twitter." The Mojang co-founder says in a blog post that his offer on Twitter to fund a sequel to Double Fine's Psychonauts was made "semi-jokingly" and should not have been taken so seriously. More >

Players of The Old Republic, which launched yesterday, are being forced to queue for hours at a time before getting to play BioWare's Star Wars MMOG. In a lengthy post on the game's official forums, senior online community manager Stephen Reid warns that the situation will continue "for the foreseeable future," and asks for users' patience. Capcom has insisted that "Mega Man is a key brand for Capcom and will remain so" despite the publisher having cancelled two games starring its mascot in 2011. Speaking to Game Informer, senior VP of strategic planning and business development Christian Svensson said that Mega Man was still very much in Capcom's thoughts despite the publisher having halted development of Mega Man Legends 3 for 3DS and downloadable title Mega Man Universe.
