So Allardyce is in charge of West Ham, Blatter's getting re-ellected, Murray's fighting back in the French Open quarters, and other stuff might be happening elsewhere.
Glad the "Greek" part of the thread remains. Right, the toon might actually be about to sign a striker. Possibly Gervinho, possibly Gameiro, possibly Keane. Who the fuck knows. But if they can sort it early, that'd be a weight off everyone's mind.
Is it the Manx TT this weekend? Murray Walker was on ITV4 last night talking about his memories of the event, his first being in 1925. Got me realising Murray must be in his 90s these days.
Wondering if a US sport thread should be started, but then, only a few of us seemed to give a fuck about North American sports before. Anyway, I've been getting my money's worth out of my MLB TV sub. Been watching a full game of baseball every couple of days and it's obvious that scoring in general is down on previous years. Pitchers are dominating - not really a surprise after the steroid-era - but then, I've always enjoyed low scoring pitching duels. Would definitely recommend MLBTV to any baseball fan who needs a daily fix. They show every game live and as each team plays 162 games a season, there's a shed load of baseball on offer.
England vs. Sri Lanka at Lord's today. Weather in Ireland is glorious, hopefully it's the same over there. Looking forward to whiling away the day in the office with TMS on the headphones.
My old dear has a horse running today in the Derby. Pisco's Sour. Was around 100/1 yesterday but may well have come in a bit. The trainer is reasonably optimistic so might be worth a couple of quid e/w.
"the last time England came from 2-0 down to win a game was in 1976. Then they beat Italy 3-2, Mick Channon getting the winner. In the Italy side that day: one Fabio Capello."
They didn't half play like a headful of shit for 30 minutes. Wilshere looks like the kind of player that might have to carry England through a fair few games.
Liverpool. Spend £75m on four players, one who's injured whilst giving Sunderland £20m to get shot of N'Gog. I know they got £50m for Torres but you don't have to spend that much for so little.
Actually, it's about £13 million which isn't that bad. Sunderland bafflingly agreed to our valuation of N'Gog as being worth £7 mill. The fools. Still for the (theoretical) outlay of £20 mill you would expect to be getting a slightly more exhilarating signing than Jordan Henderson, accomplished player though he seems.
"In 1967 I misdiagnosed myself with cancer of the ballbag"
Yep. I hope this doesn't represent a British transfer bubble. Seeing the likes of Henderson, Carroll, Bent, Young, etc... going for that kinda scratch is not good.
Phil Jones is a superb signing for United, him and Smalling could be a quality partnership to eventually replace Rio/Vid. Not convinced about Henderson yet, not sure what his best position is.
I'm looking forward to see Swansea City in the Premier League, they play some lovely football at times. It's definately going to be the toughest season for the "bigger" clubs as well, the likes of City, Liverpool and Spurs will improve making it tougher at the top and even tougher at the bottom.
Michael Owen has signed a new 1 year contract with Manchester United.
Sorted.

Leeds...
Well. Leeds.

So, the semi-finals of the French Open are looking amazing.
Djokovic Vs Federer
Nadal Vs Murray
Tennis doesn't get much better :)

Hopefully Eoin Morgan can get a decent knock in.
Nadal has beaten Murray in straight sets in the French Open semi-final.
No surprise really, Nadal has only ever been beaten once at Roland Garros in the seven previous years he's played there.
Good effort from Murray though, that's (at least) the semi-final of each Grand Slam reached now.

Federer Nadal then, eh?
Hell yeahs
FedEx was absolutely inspired last night.
Also, Ian Hutchinson's leg is the most fucked up injury I've ever seen. It's incredible they've managed to save that.
Federer still won't win. Mark Hughes is a dick for leaving Fulham. Friedel is an astute signing by Redknapp. I think thats about it.
Friedel will play for 1-2 more seasons - perfect time for a European campaign.
Not sure they'll bother that much with the Europa despite what 'Arry says but at least he's not a spoon like Gomes.
Lollers.
Let's go Switzerland!

BWAHAHAHAHA! This is getting good.

Darn. Penalty to Ingerland.
Gamertag - TheBlackFrost52
Oh well. swiss just need to get another free kick and it'll probably go straight in again without a touch.

The Euro's are already Spain or Germany's anyway, who cares. Posting on two forums is frying my brain.
2 each. Such a shame. It would have been hilarious if Ingerland lost.

His form's been far from accomplished for most of the season.

Alan McNish and about a dozen others are lucky bastards.

Swans could get destroyed by teams with any set piece prowess/aerial threat going by the play-off final.
