If this is what it appears to be (and it does, this time, appear to be what it appears to be), I'm all over it.

What the actual fuck?
Screw lunch; time to hurry home. This is legit? (didn't read much)
This reminds me of that 'network only' release of Daytona...
There was very little warning for that too.
No Edge review?

The site its selling on is legit I think.
No nothing. There's not even any mention of it on the Codemasters website.
What the hell is going on? You can't simply release a game with no hype whatsoever. I've had no chance to form opinions about it based on a handful of screenshots and a few paragraphs of information. I haven't had several months of drip-feeding to get me mentally and physically prepared for the release of this game. The shock of knowing that it exists and is available right now has shaken me to my core.
Fucking hell!!!
Saying that though I'll not bother unless it's on the 360, if I had it on PC I would get absolutely nothing done at work!

£20 for what has the potential to be a fond-memory-ruiner. On reflection I shall wait a bit and see what's what.
I hated Cannon Fodder

Is this anything to do with that new Cannon Fodder game that was only available in Russia or something, from a year or so ago? My memories of the subject are slightly sketchy...
This is the best way to release new shit, insofar as it's the least personally offensive.
Just youtube the theme tune and then I'll judge the game on that.
if its not 'war has never been so much fun' its a fail!
But Jools and Jops man, Jools and fucking Jops.
who what now

What the fuck? You can't just release Cannon Fodder 3 on an obscure site without telling anyone. Especially if you're the kind of pricks to tease a new Dizzy game then remake an old on for iOS.
Google has now caught up with this thread. Its not looking promising.
This is an English version of the one that was supposedly only coming out in Russia. Its been made by some no mark third party (Game Factory Interactive???) who licensed the IP from Codemasters. They were originally restricted to Russia only but now that's been changed and its out in the West.
Reading between the lines (and making a load of stuff up) it looks like Codemasters wanted to make a bit of cash but didn't want to damage the Cannon Fodder name if the no marks fucked the game up, so kept it limited to Russia. That the licence terms have changed means either the game is much better than Codies expected and are prepared to let it loose in the West, or they just thought fuck it and wanted the cash from a Western release anyway.
None of that explains the bizarre release. Definitely wait for a few reviews. Even on the off chance that its good, its going to be a much changed beast from the originals.
Don't like the way it looks. Its like Team 17 made it.

I'm surprised you all missed it on Twitter. The Edge article from the original story last year is here.
Yes, which doesn't talk about a release anywhere outside of Russia.
No one mentioned it on my Twitter.
This.
Twatter.
I was more addressing the point that if people had read this article they would have been much less surprised, and would've known that this was indeed the same as that game we heard about a year ago.
Choke edited. I'm telling on him.
Quiet you! I bet you were the kid nobody liked at school.
