General Strategy
The power of the lancer. This is a brilliant video. The standard weapon in the game is hugely overpowered. A team rocking lancers working in unison are hard to beat. Ok, this player's pretty advanced, but there's no reason beginners can't get off to a good start with this weapon. Notice that he's constantly helping out his teammates by giving them assists. Notice also that, in order not to get ambushed, he uses sound as an advance warning system for people creeping up behind him. Finally, notice how he is seeking 2-v-1 situations if given a choice, and how he uses the right hand side bias of the camera to see players coming and importantly, to hide. Great vid to get started. Thanks to brooks for finding these, seen 3 so far and they've all been good- but this is the best.

Oatker and I had some great games on this today. My headset is utter gash so Oatker wasn't hearing all my chat.
Wingman is fun, Warzone is shit, I get bored with being the Leader and I've decided the sawn-off isn't all that but is mightily annoying in the hands of corner campers.
Regarding Private match settings, is it possible to edit whether you have to execute?

Smokes, retro, grenades, digger, boomshot, torquebow, superior numbers / co-ordination, one flanker are the counters.
Smoke stuns him and gets him packing. Retro has him come out or move off the corner. Digger fell in love with corners the minute it met one.Torquebow to the floor (esp active) tucked just behind the corner will deal damage / switch to shotgun and blow him away. Boomshot will probably just kill him, as will frags. Otherwise, tactics and numbers, lancering him from two opposite ends.

Whole channel that damage video comes from is rich in sound guidance, get some theory down if not actual practice.
Like, here's a headslap-obvious one: Digger's a grenade, so fire high in an arc to help disguise its tell-tale approach noise. Choice.

You can fire it up and over the tower edges on Gridlock, once it lands at the higher level, it digs in and does it business.

Anyone know if kicking [B button kills] adds to the kill for the weapon you've equipped? I've just realised I generally do it just to get it finished quick as but I'd quite like to get the weapon kills for the execution unlock so might have to start finishing them off with bullets for the moment.

At least you weren't there with me, Otaku and Wimborne last night. We thought we'd blow some steam on Ranked KOTH only to repeatedly break against a wall of clan players. the 5 of this shut us out both rounds and were disgustingly good with every weapon, flanking with conviction, multi-gibbing with the sawed-off, crossfiring witht he Lancer, ugh. It was obscene.
Brilliantly they gave us kudos for not quitting, honour among theives and all that.
To be fair if you dealt out the merking that they did there's no need for gloating - everyone knew what a smack down that was :(
I enjoyed Horde, was annoyed that the Silverback didn't appear (can someone confirm that you have to spend a set amount of money or complete a certain number of waves to make it available btw?) - We just ran out of time. Slight shame for spending about 50k on the last set of defences and probably dying quicker than when we had barely anything...

I won't lie to you. I'm all for fun and private games where I can take the piss now and then and still get 25 kills / 4 deaths or get merked and start throwing out the toys out of the pram. But the entire reason for the considerable work that's going to go into this OP is so that one day a team like myself, you, curtis (after a gears intervention- maybe after he's had a bit of dark souls to restore his mana), Tempy and Destrier (although that fucker Oatker with his grenades might be worth a shit. I've observed his rodent tendencies with rising approval) - and anyone else who raises their game along with us- can go on ranked and roll one of these faggy clan twats. And when that happens (because it will happen, as it did in Gears OG in the dreem teem days), I'm not gonna be all like "oh btw guys kudos for not quitting that was more one way than that time I paid to shag a pro"). I'm gonna fucking GLOAT.

Hahahahaha yeah normally I would of tried to say something but the smackdown was total, and I was a very tired panda. Im more than happy to get some serious ranked games in tonight blud, just merely suggesting that if there's loads of people around I always think its better to get everyone involved (unless I AM TRYING TO GET IN AND THERE IS NO SPACE FOR WINRAT etc)

Indeed, I've been having a go with the retro and up close it's great but at range it simply can't down quickly enough and I always feel I'm signposting myself for a messy finish.
I'm going to stick with lancer from now on but I'm going to keep the sawn-off to piss off the idiots. I spanked 4 of them in a row the other day whilst Oatker kept their attention and I chunked the lot of them. I fully agree it could've been done quicker and easier with a gnashed but sometimes I just want to get the job done.

Yeah no ranked for me i'd just be a liability but with the numbers playing atm i think its perfectly reasonable for the rankers to go do their thing and us still have plenty for the versus or even Horde, which is badass to a huge degree

Yeah, I don't think I have the mettle to be in the grand team, this just isn't my game really, so I would be a bit more up for horde and laidback games. I can only get competitive with FPS's or music games really.
