Scribblenauts on the iPhone?
Awesome.
Will get later.

Currently trying to play: FIFA 12, Virtua Tennis 4, Uncharted 3 MP, Portal 2, Naruto: UNS2, Nier, Ico & SotC HD, Child of Eden, House of the Dead: Overkill EC, Alpha Protocol.
Yeah, Scribblenauts DS was a great idea, dreadfully executed. I really don't know how they could've got it so wrong.
TW 2012 is free at the moment, if anyone's interested.

Scribblenauts is alright, really. Much more puzzle based than the semi-platformer outlook of the DS version, which is nice. More thought into what item rather than jumping around holding it.
I'm having trouble getting a knight across a lake with a shark in it.
Which would explain why theres an itunes update (10.5) and why it's coming down so slowly - I think everyone is kicking the shit out of Apple's servers right now :-/
iCloud save sync sounds handy, and the API for turn-based games through Game Center is cool as well.
I grabbed iTunes 10.5 the other day and I've downloaded iOS5 but my phone is on its 2nd3rd4th5th 6th attempt at updating, I'm going to have get my Fawlty car whipping branch out in a minute...
I'm presuming that iOS5 is fine, it's the getting it actually into your phone bit that is going tits up for me. I only know one person who has succeeded in getting it installed so far...
Why do these things never work and the demand always exceeds expectations?
Weird - with previous updates, sometimes they've been slow for itunes to download, but once downloaded I've not had a problem running the phone through the update process before :-/
Probably won't be able to get the update tonight anyhows - might not even manage to get the itunes update TBH my DL is so slow right now. Will see what the web reaction is tomorrow morning and if there's any probs with the rollout.
It's Apple's servers struggling to verifying the legitimacy of all the connections. Just keep trying; if it's annoyingly time consuming, copy the .ipsw file to the desktop and option-click on restore in iTunes, and select it manually.

I wish I understood any of this if meant me getting iOS5 into my phone!
It becomes quite time consuming; you plug it in, it goes "hey, iOS 5 is here," and downloads. But then when it extracts it and tries to verify it's a legal update with Apple, the servers can't cope so it craps out.
You then try and do it again, or hit restore, which in some cases can end up with it looking in the wrong place for the file or trying to download it again if it thinks there was a problem with it. You can find the restore file (I think the build number is 9334, so it'll have that in it, and it's a .ipsw (iPhone software) file), put it somewhere obvious, then by option-clicking (dunno, probably ALT-click on Windows) on the "Restore" button in iTunes it'll ask you specifically what iPhone software file you want to restore your phone too. Pick the 9334 one and you're away; it might still fail after extracting, but you can repeat the whole process pretty quickly until you "get through."

Around 600MB normally aren't they?
Yes, but not any more! With iOS5 you get over-the-air updates, which are only about 100MB a throw. The wi-fi syncing's awesome too.
I looked everywhere (including the places you posted) and couldn't find it anywhere so I started downloading the ipsw and when I was about 600mb in my phone decided it would update after all, sod's law...
The only fun to be had on the DS version was playing on the title screen and seeing what you could invent.
The rest of it was horseshit, mainly down to the utterly impossible controls.

Contribute!Ok, I picked it up because making things is fun to pass 5 mins in the loo.
It managed "big angry octopus," "happy platypus," "sad goat," "particle accelerator," and then let me blow them all up with a "fighter jet."

I think they knew the controls were shit and fixed them for the sequel, so I doubt this has, like, regressed.

Has Katamari Amore always been free? Because it is at the moment.
Also excited to find there's a new Edge, going to have a few nice new things to play on my new iPhone when I get it.

Is it a bit screwy?

Contribute!Mine is failing at the 'verifying' bit and I can't find this .ipsw file so fuck it I'll stick with 4.3.5 until it decides to update itself...
