They're apparently going to be giving some away at the Eurogamer Expo this year. Read into that what you will..........

Currently trying to play: FIFA 12, Virtua Tennis 4, Uncharted 3 MP, Portal 2, Naruto: UNS2, Nier, Ico & SotC HD, Child of Eden, House of the Dead: Overkill EC, Alpha Protocol.
Just to say that it appears I've now got a 'UK intro £1 game' email from OnLive. I'd previously signed in when it was US only and had a copy of Amnesia on there.
Tried to login; update. Hmmm Promising? Had to ok through another licensing contract page.... more promising.
Wonders will never cease but the market is now in GBP for me and I still have Amnesia displaying 9 hours played (eh?? really... christ..) Clearly going to have to go and register the card and get me a copy of Deus Ex for nearly nowt!
Just an FYI really as I know a couple of other punters were in a similar situation back in the other place.
Thanks to being with BT I have like 3 months unlimited play.
I can play whatever games I want, as many times as I want.
I guess this is the £6.99 a month thing? If that's the case, £6.99 a month to game to your heart's content is value for money.

The £7 thing sounds more like the Playpass they do Sas. It has a list of available games that you can play but the list is a bit limited. It's updated quite regularly and I only know form the US account so the games could well be different but I'd check before signing up.
The BT intro deal sounds like a sweet total system pass to get people interested. I think they write off the 1.5gig/hour thing too (like BT Vision) so it won't kill your fair use policy.
I've just signed in using my previously American account and was asked to accept a new terms of service with Euro flavour wording and when I went into Marketplace all the prices are now in £s. And the games for a quid thing was showing.
So even though the lovely Joseph never got back to me they have migrated our accounts. Well, mine at least.
Hehhe Reed da fred yeah.. but ta anyhoo! It's groovy.
Had a quick blat at Deus Ex as I was waiting for it to drop to £4.99 and a bag of sprouts after Christmas on the XBox. Early days but so far it kind of, just about, sort of works with fps games it seems. Graphics don't look like they were running on cutting edge kit and the lag is still just about noticeable but definitely playable for one metric quid.
Keeps the macbook pro from getting too much work done which is always a plus...
Been looking on the market and it wasn't here in the uk yet. A site suggested it was launching today so I imagine it'll be about wish when the US starts to wake up?
Reports suggest there are some tablet controls in some games but you can get a gamepad to register too can't you?
If you've got an iPad or device that can play the games, the ability to play fully fledged games in bed, or for me playing while away on work would be pretty fucking awesome.

You on android? Use the online link and it'll let you download it.
Had a go this morning on my gf's Desire HD. Played a little lego batman, definately very promising for the future but they need to be able to emmulate a controller with touch controls and let you customise it rather than having to get developers to develop controls for each game individually.
Can't imagine how much playing on 3G would fuck up your mobile internet usage.
Obviously 3G data transfer rates are nowhere near fast enough as well. WiFi all the way. If you can find a hotspot that you can actually use. O2's, and BTs Openzone and FON never work for me.

Cheers 'Pie. That did seem to do the trick! Wouldn't find it from the tablet Market app yet oddly.
Had a quick poke around and so far it looks pretty handy. You can now select 'touch' in the search terms so all the compatible games come up. I've only got Amnesia, Just Cause 2 and Deus Ex in my library and all of them need a pad to play.
Lego harry Potter 5-7 currently in demo and the 3yr old nephew seems to like it. The controls are fairly responsive and the graphics look fantastic on my Asus Transformer tablet.
I could easily be convinced into getting a pad for it to make bedtime playing work out. Needs a bit more fiddling with the demos to prove the point but so far so impressed.
I'm also on a legacy (and now very unavailable) fully unlimited O2 broadband contract that they are desperate to get me off but I'm not going anywhere near a bandwidth cap if this actually works out..
Had first network connection crash now too. Might be a problem with xbox and computers not leaving enough bandwidth but still a bit irritating.
They are throwing Lego Batman in for free when you download the app too which is nice. Will play later this evening when the wifi is less congested but does make me think that public wifi is a bit of a no-no.
You managed to name the tablet that isn't supported, MattyJ.

Initial feedback is very good on Lego Batman on the Asus Transformer. Far higher fidelity than I would expect off a pokey little tablet but i have had a good few wifi connection bumps. The kids couldn't give a monkeys but there are a few moments of connection based lag issues too. It's free so I'm happy to take it on the chin but if I'd paid £30 I'd be unhappy. It still smacks of a system that needs a good few years of development to make it work as you'd hope it would. Perhaps in Scandinavia...
No. My games look good on the shelves, I like them that way.
Not interested I like to have my media in my actual possession.

Might try this out. I take it browser version will run on my mac as it just processing inputs?
Does it have games lime the latest Civilisation?
Well thats has pissed on my chips.
I go to Onlive.co.uk, create an account and now whatever I do just gives me a "Bad Request" browser error.

So this is now available on tablets, meaning you can get full games on your iPad etc. Anyone tried it out? Sounds pretty sweet to me!

How does the controller work on a tablet?

The bald dude from the Gadget Show has been tweeting pics of himself playing OnLive on a Kindle Fire with a Joypad (sat in a cafe too).
Definitely an intriguing prospect, and i'm sure the smaller screen of an iPad (compared to a monitor) will help those streamed games look better.
I wonder how much those pads will retail for...

My mate gave me this. She got it free from work and doesn't use it so nice freebie.
I've got to say, the controller is a lovely thing. Really well made and solid. Wish I could get it to work on my 360 and PS3...

The iPad app for viewing gameplay doesn't work, and the streaming is horribly glitchy and blocky. Not a good advert at all.
