In Jap, but they did take questions in english via the #SCV_live tag.
I'm starting to really warm to this, with SFxT looking worse by the day, and with SCV having Ezio as a guest character, i.e. someone who fits for once, I'm feeling it.

The one thing I HATED about SC4 were the stages. All these uninspired Tower of Lost Souls themed stages I found perfectly dull to look and play at which really impacted the replayability for me. The Star Wars stages dind't help much being so completely unrelated. It really came rather suprising, considering the excellent stages from soul calibur III.
Now, with the inclusion of a somewhat contemporary guest character that issue seems fixed already. And SC4 really wasn't a bad game at all, I still play it with friends. This however might just be the game I was waiting for.
Ezio??? Really??? Link in SC2 fit perfectly. Best thing about the game!

+1
PSN: Sasukekun
Currently trying to play: FIFA 12, Virtua Tennis 4, Uncharted 3 MP, Portal 2, Naruto: UNS2, Nier, Ico & SotC HD, Child of Eden, House of the Dead: Overkill EC, Alpha Protocol.
Surely Ezio, an assasin in the time period Soul Calibur is set, is the perfect choice for a guest character?
After SCIV, I half expected Sonic and Mario. Well maybe not Mario.
Yes he is a good fit. I was trying to show surprise as I wasn't aware of his inclusion, badly written post from me. Look forwarded using him!
Will different platforms have different additional characters again???

I would have thought Altair would have been closer to the timeline.

Nah, Altair was too early. Crudades were 12th century, no? Original Soul Edge was set In 16th century, and Ezio is 15th century so is closer.

Crusades and shit went on from 1000s to 1500s.
Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat its mistakes.
I really liked SCII but didn't try the last few releases in the series. I'll probably pick this up for button mashing fun-times even if I don't want to try and get to a competitive level.
@Griff : I meant the Crusade(s) Altair was involved in/around in AC. I think it was Third Crusade, when it was ending in 1192 or so.
(why no quote working on iphone???)

Doesn't Asscreed man more or less sport the same duds as Zasalamel or whatever the scythe guy's name is
New japanese advert is... awesome.

Oh deary me. lol!
Anyways, when are we getting this, next month?
I'm looking forward to it for some strange reason. I'm hoping it's a little more 'advanced' than SC4, which was basically the same as the first game from 10+ years ago.

High hopes for this one. SCIV just didn't grab me as much as past iterations.
Hopefully it'll feel fresher with the setting based 17 or so years later and a bunch of new characters.
Also, no frikkin Star Wars involved.

No Star Wars but that Ezio chap from AC I believe (rather pointlessly).
Apart from the character creation tool in IV, which made the forum sessions most entertaining, I've found each iteration of SC less appealing than the one before.
Can't decide whether to get this day 1 for potentially a great online experience, or wait for it to drop below £20 - probably by Easter.

Really enjoyed SCII. Weapon master gave the game some real longevity outside of multiplayer. Not sure about the action apparently taking place on more of a 2D plane though... always felt the whole point was that it was more 3D than a lot of beat em ups out there. Reviews out soon enough

Kenny Russell would've been down for a good whippin'.
I felt it was overlooked competitively. It turned up ten months before Street Fighter IV hoisted the boys back into the barracks, by which time Hilde's Prod o' Doom had been discovered, leaving the game wallowing in the awful non-comp-worthy troughs of Americaland. Play what you enjoy (says Cap Obv), and this was top of my pile for some-odd year. And yeah - character creation was a riot of medieval flavour. Why reckon-up complaints about a fighter featuring Freddie Mercury, Alvin Stardust and Danny LaRusso?
I ask of you!
Never read the full scoop on Hilde's bustedness, divulge plz.
The idea was to make her the best ranged character at the cost of short-sword viability. But a couple of miscalcs on that front left her relatively safe to charge her lance at leisure. She was weaker against nifty horizontal movers - her strength was primarily in verts, but so many of the medium-sized islands were tiddly for her ring-out broom.
Plenty of cheese across the board, mind. Cervantes' iGDR was my personal favourite. The iGDR was a big risk for heavy damage, unlike Hilde's hunkered-down counter, but I wouldn't call her broken in such a fighting dice-roller.
Unblockable moves have always been a shitty idea.
Is there Voldo

Who he? My copy had Grace Jones.
Hilde's scoopage wasn't unblockable, B, just very good at ring-outs. There was no way of ticking unblockables, so they really weren't up to much. Although Cervantes' pistol shots were handy against a waking opponent from afar. Muchos easy to avoid, but they bought him time by forcing a couple of sidesteps before he could be rushed.
Ah oh, I misconstrued "charge".
Friendly neighbourhood spider-wang, bless.
Plornt made a japanese-inspired promo for our webshop. Great success, record-breaking clicks so far. Boobies sell.

Oh, and the game got an [8] in Edge. Excited!
YOU GOT A PLATINUM TROPHY
If QVC were up to muster they'd be singing that figurine's praises.
Bring back Lavers to bugger-up the pitch.

There's a rather tasty Collector's Edition available complete with artbook, soundtrack, making of DVD, signed art, some parchment letter thing, exclusive DLC, all presented in a big case styled like a book. Weighs in at £70.
