It's back - getting a re-release from Konami to be all high-res, 1080p, 3D, etc.
Z.O.E was the first proper game I ever really enjoyed on my PS2. I bought it primarily for the MGS2 demo, but fell in love with the ambience set by the opening levels. Great music, embarassing cut-scenes, and a massive cock on robots where the pilot lived.
Can you get better than that?

Both. I know two was somewhat 'rare' but it didnt have the same resonance with me as the original.
Holy shit. HOLY SHIT. Am excite. Z.O.E. 2nd Runner was a fucking drop-dead gorgeous game, can't think of anything that has needed an HD update as much as this. Can't wait t to start skating across metal in Jehuty again.

I bought these based on cover art and cheapness years ago. Didn't really get on with RPGs at the time so they got chopped in for something. Will like to give these a new try, they've had a lot of love round these parts, but never been able to afford to rebuy them
Not RPGs, mate - they're almost a non-existent entity these days. 3D action hack and slash with giant dick sized robots.
I thought the first one did a thoroughly good job of convincing a younger pablo that actually yes, I was a badass mecha pilot...NOW EAT LASER DEATH....OOOPS I DIDN'T MEAN TO BURN DOWN YOUR HOUSE OLD LADY.
I preferred 2 to 1 personally.
The anime cutscenes were much to my taste.

Erm.....my memory of the first game was of repetitive boredom and trading it in early. Really haven't ever seen why people go on about it so much.
