with a new forum on its way, I think now is a good time to take stock, look back, and make some promises.
I've been touched by the spirit on this place since "the announcement", heck, even newcomers have been warmly welcomed and fit right in like old hands (ladyknowles).
My resolutions:
1) To join in more on gaming threads. I tend to get hold of games late (lack of time, and a bit of northern tightness) so by the time I play a game there's no one to talk about it with. I would have loved to have played Braid, Limbo etc and discussed it with y'all as I went. LA Noire seems like a missed opportunity but next time, I'm there, spouting guff with the best of 'em.
2) Some online gaming. Now I'm on this live thing I've enjoyed playing a few things over the internet with some strangers. It'd be good to be humiliated by local people instead ;) Even seeing your names above mine on leaderboards has been good fun - thanks to everyone who's added me to their friendlists.
3) When the next gen finally rolls round, I'm joining in the fun from day 1.
I probably need to start playing more games again and then join in more game discussions. Not easy though - I've been out of the UK for 8 months with no 360 and after all that there's probably only about 3 I fancy playing.
Probably end up just arguing in the news thread and making crap jokes like before. Or, maybe with a fresh start we can do some more game 'theory' type threads again - I used to quite like those.
I've been trying to tone down arse content of my posts for the last four years. The endeavour will continue here in earnest. I'm hoping my posts will be arse-free by the time Edge 6.0 comes along. Arse.
Post thoughts instead of just thinking them. I only managed 2 posts in the old one.
I'm going to do exacatly as I've always done. Post before thinking.

Anyway, I'm definatly going to make an effort and get involved in more discussions. If I'm honest I'd say 90% of my posts are in threads of games I play with forumers. I can't post during the day as I'm rarely in the office, though my smart phone has enabled me to have a look at lunch time.
I'm going to try even harder to get a game of TF2 on the Xbox with the Edge lot. This will happen. One day.
