Director of Operations

One of the fastest growing Top 20 video game publishers will launch their first MMO and they are in search of a Director of Operations.  Their management style is pretty hands-off, so if someone is interested in building a new operations strategy, a team, and processes at a stable company, this will be it!

Key responsibilities:

• Leading all aspects of development, deployment and supporting the global release of games
• Will head up strategic planning for the online games operations
• Will manage P&L for the division
• Facilitate project and technical management. 
• Implement and manage solutions for disaster recovery, crisis management, and troubleshooting on a 24/7/365 service basis.
• Hire staff, customer service, and game operations teams.
• Create roll-out plans for game testing in coordination with development team efforts.
• Perform ongoing game product analysis by being an expert in the games, working closely with other division staff to ensure project requirements are clearly defined, understood and delivered.
• Prepare and maintain daily documentation to include game project plans, status reports, risk assessment plans, change requests, and resource requests.

Qualifications:

• Have managed operations of at least 2 - 3 PC-based titles, preferably MMO's with large communities
• Have a minimum of 4 years experience managing others
• Should have a passion for PC games, especially MMOs
