Editorial Assistant
Blizzard Entertainment Europe seeks a skilled editor and writer to research, write and edit communications for a wide variety of audiences both internal and external to Blizzard. The editorial assistant will work closely with the PR and internal communications team, reporting to the editorial manager.
The editorial assistant’s work must be well-written, engaging and accurate; meet business objectives; and be delivered on time. In addition to exhibiting excellent interpersonal skills, the ideal candidate will be someone who excels in a collaborative environment and who is passionate about communication and gaming, particularly with regard to Blizzard Entertainment games.
Location: Velizy, France (southwest of Paris)
Permanent work contract
Starting date: immediate
Responsibilities
- Write and edit external and internal documents covering a wide variety of business, technical and legal topics
- Interface with the teams within the PR department and with various other teams around the company to develop and achieve communication objectives
- Assume responsibility for areas of the company intranet.

Requirements
- Passionate gamer and conscientious communicator familiar with Blizzard Entertainment products
- B.A. in journalism or English, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- A minimum of two years professional writing/editing experience in English, with demonstrated excellence in both
- Strong knowledge of grammar, punctuation and usage, plus solid proofreading skills
- Proficiency with MS Office products
- Ability to focus and multitask under demanding deadlines and with minimal supervision
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
Pluses
- Proficiency in other European languages
- Passionate player of games, particularly Blizzard Entertainment games
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of PR and legal processes
