OVERVIEW
This is a key role responsible for a range of highly anticipated titles. Working closely with external development studios and internal publsihing partners you will be responsible for ensuring delivery on time, schedule and in line with brand values and other KPI's.
The ideal candidate will be either an existing Executive or Senior Producer with proven experience of critically evaluating and managing development schedules from an early stage. Where commercially necessary they will be willing to make tough decisions and have the authority to ensure these are implemented. While this is an External role, Candidates with an internal production background are encouraged to apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the projects and mentor category production staff to take responsibility and accountability for the titles in the category
Support the Director of Product Development in the policing of the category to ensure release schedule integrity and product quality.
Work with the Brand Manager to ensure the development of the products is aligned with the brand values and ROI
Lead the production function of the category meetings ensuring production aspects are continually driven
Manage the resource requirements for the PD category
Carry out due diligence and PD assessment of products in that category
Budget and allocate production costs of Category titles
Ensure that plans and code are delivered in a timely manner
Conduct delivery and quality benchmarking for the projects in the category
Liaise with developers to ensure the product is hitting its targets for date and quality
Continue to evaluate and record risks for the category projects acting and escalating as appropriate
Liaise with the External Developers on a day to day basis on all project issues
Work with Brand Managers and other internal stakeholders to maximise game quality within time and cost constraints
Champion the category games to the organization and externally where appropriate
Promote best practice development process in the PD function and to External Developers where appropriate
Assist in the developer qualification process – working closely with acquisitions to identify opportunities and suitable developer matches
Present the progress of titles to Green light at key stages of the project with justification and recommendations to the exec group
