Executive Producer

This top 20 video game publisher has over 25 years of history developing titles in various genres including Action/Adventure, Racing, RPG, FPS, and others.  They have a new strong management team that are video game industry veterans coming from top tiered publishers.  To stimulate their success, they are driving the company to expand their business into the online space.  This includes online distribution and developing future titles for online as well as console.  They are adding to their product development team and are in need of an Executive Producer to work on their upcoming RPG Franchises.
 
Responsibilities:

• Manage external development ensuring that external projects tied to the project finish on-time and to a high level of quality while remaining on-budget.
• Regular risk assessment of project plan, performing revision of goals, estimates and resources where appropriate, as well as coordination with internal entities to ensure stakeholders are up to date and project status.
• Initiate and cultivate creative and productive relationships with internal and external developers. Validate all potential developers, in concert with internal senior management, to ensure external developers meet both needs and expectations.
• Evaluate development schedule as well as review and approve milestones in order to ensure that schedules and deliverables meet defined objectives and quality standards.

 
Qualifications:

• 6-8 years of experience as a manager in product development
• Strong time management skills with a proven ability to focus on priorities, solve problems, juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong understanding of all the key areas and common issues related to development of AAA games and management thereof.
• A strong background in production with experience in prototyping and pre-production processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with different audiences on a broad range of topics: technical, business and creative.
