We are looking for a GAMEPLAY & AI PROGRAMMER for our ambitious next-gen project Earth No More.

RECOIL GAMES and RADAR GROUP are co-producing "EARTH NO MORE", a groundbreaking original IP action-adventure game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Earth No More fuses together genre-pushing emotional drama and a disaster setting of global scale.

Recoil is an English-speaking team spanning eight nationalities situated in Helsinki, Finland, one of Europe’s fastest growing hotbeds of game development. Finland is also known for its high standard of living, beautiful nature and modern way of life.

Duties and responsibilities:

You will participate in the implementation of the gameplay, AI technology and tools. Also, you will co-operate with designers, artists and other programmers to achieve a great gameplay experience.

You will guide designers in the proper use of the gameplay/AI technology and actively seek places for improvement.

Requirements:

- 2+ years of commercial game development experience
- Highly proficient in C++ and object-oriented design
- Comfortable in working with an established code framework
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good verbal & written communication skills in English
- Strong desire and drive to develop cutting edge AAA titles
- Excellent team player
- Ability to work efficiently and with diplomacy under pressure
- Ability to communicate actively and fluidly with design and art departments
- Ability to write robust, efficient and maintainable code

Assets:

- Experience in game development with Unreal Engine
- Experience in developing on next-gen consoles (Xbox 360, PS3)
- Passion for developing and playing video games
- Passion for 1st or 3rd person action-adventure games
- Personal game projects in related fields
- Bachelors degree in software engineering

This is a full-time job, situated in Helsinki, Finland. Relocation is mandatory.
