We are looking for a GENERALIST PROGRAMMER for our ambitious next-gen project Earth No More.

RECOIL GAMES and RADAR GROUP are co-producing "EARTH NO MORE", a groundbreaking original IP action-adventure game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Earth No More fuses together genre-pushing emotional drama and a disaster setting of global scale.

Recoil is an English-speaking team spanning eight nationalities situated in Helsinki, Finland, one of Europe’s fastest growing hotbeds of game development. Finland is also known for its high standard of living, beautiful nature and modern way of life.

Duties and responsibilities:

You will improve and debug licensed game engine technology and tools to develop cutting edge next-gen AAA title.

You will design and implement new technology required by the game design.

You will guide artists and designers in the proper use of the technology and actively seek places for improvement (performance, memory usage, processes, etc.)

Requirements:

- 2+ years of commercial game development experience
- Proficient in C++ and good object-oriented design skills
- Worked on at least one console/PC title
- Interest and some experience in several aspect of game technology development (e.g. graphics, AI, animation, audio, gameplay, physics, UI, network, tools)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good verbal & written communication skills in English
- Excellent team player
- Strong desire and drive to develop cutting edge AAA titles
- Comfortable in working with an established code framework
- Ability to write robust, efficient and maintainable code
- Strong 3D math background
- Ability to work efficiently and with diplomacy under pressure

Assets:

- Experience in game development with Unreal Engine
- Experience in developing on next-gen consoles (Xbox 360, PS3) or PC/DX9
- Passion for developing and playing video games

This is a full-time job, situated in Helsinki, Finland. Relocation is mandatory.
