AiLive (www.AiLive.net), founded in 2000, is a California-based company best known for its LiveMove products, and the Wii MotionPlus, which AiLive designed and co-created with Nintendo. We are looking for a highly talented Lead Games Programmer to join the core team, led by Creative Director Rob Kay, Lead Designer of Guitar Hero(TM) and Rock Band(TM), to help create an innovative console game. This is an exciting opportunity to start at the ground-up in a novel new space at the intersection of innovative games design and state-of-the-art machine learning technology.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the proven ability to lead a games programming team from initial prototyping to shipped console title.
The job entails:
- Console games programming at all stages of the life-cycle, including prototyping, pre-production and production.
- Leading the games programming team in the design and implementation of core game systems.
- Mentoring other programmers, including maintaining code quality and standards.
- Working with the project leads to set goals and priorities.
- Helping to hire top talent to build a game programming team.
To be considered, you must have the following qualifications:
- Worked on at least one console/PC title in a lead role from start to finish, or worked on at least two console titles in a sub-lead/senior role from start to finish.
- BSc or higher degree in computer science or related field;
- Experience in developing on current generation consoles (e.g., Wii, Xbox 360, PS3)
- Highly proficient in C++ and object-oriented design.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of all aspects of game programming, especially character animation and control, networking, optimization, and tool chain and asset management.
- Ability to write robust, efficient and maintainable code and mentor the programming team to do the same.
- Have a strong desire and drive to develop cutting edge AAA titles.
