COMPANY OVERVIEW
Established in 1996, our client is Australia's leading multi-platform game development studio responsible for a number of award winning titles. They have wide experience across sports, action and military themed titles. Their studio expanded significantly in 2004 and continues to grow from strength to strength.
Working with top publishers they seek to hire the best producers and development staff from both within Australia and abroad, in order to provide maximum support to the publisher on a number of fronts. This includes the ability to track development progress in real-time, comprehensive reporting and access to a team that understands the marketing/PR requirements of the publisher.
Where required our client will assist in securing a Working Visa, relocation expenses and short term accommodation for successful applicants. All employees will receive contributions to a Pension Plan. In addition certain employees may be eligible for a generous living away from home tax concession. This is assessed on a case by case basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage all aspects of production from concept pitch to gold master to deliver a creative, high-quality product on time.
· Work closely with executive management to achieve project objectives.
· Manage production schedules, recurring milestone review process, and approvals.
· Manage and maintain project budget.
· Establish priorities and coordinate activities within the development team.
· Manage project risks and create mitigation plans.
· Re-configure task assignments and schedules with leadership to keep project on track.
· Facilitate frequent dialogue between engineering, art, design, QA and marketing to ensure open communication and coordination
· Help set project priorities to ensure that product achieves its vision, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
· Work closely with development team during design and execution periods to establish and ensure clear vision objectives.
· Work closely with development team and management to establish realistic schedules.
· Work with individual team members and team leadership to provide weekly status reports for scheduled tasks.
· Manage recurring game play and focus testing with QA Manager.
· Projects are delivered on time and to an excellent standard.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential
· Strong industry experience, preferably including previous experience as a Producer or Associate Producer with significant responsibilities and on released titles.
· Excellent communication and organisational skills
· Ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment and provide direction necessary to set or execute the creative vision of the project.
· Proficiency with scheduling programs such as Microsoft Project.
· Experience coordinating product development efforts with functional teams, such as Engineering, Art, Design, Quality Assurance, Public Relations, Sales, and Marketing, throughout a complete production cycle and across multiple studios.
· Strong problem-solving skills.
