Looking for an opportunity to relocate to sunny Australia and work for one of the best studio's out there? Well we are looking for a Senior Concept Artist to join and be a part of our expanding team. The Senior Concept Artist creates original art that captures the mood and style that the Director is envisioning for the project. This original art work sets the tone and style of the game. 

 

At this level, the Senior Concept Artist works closely with the Art Director and Lead to help define the look and style of the game. The main goal of the concept artist is to convey a visual representation of a design, idea, and/or mood for use in the game before it is put into the final product.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

•Collaborates with Art Director and Art Leads to help develop the art style for the game

•Creates original concept art for key characters, worlds and assets in the game

•Visually communicates on design ideas throughout pre-production and production

•Creates final concept drawings and pre-production materials for marketing and PR activities, when required

•Generates production art work for all areas of the game

•Develops story boards for game animations and cinematics

•Mentors and trains mid-level and junior concept art staff

•All other tasks not specifically mentioned here but which may be required of you in order to perform your role

 

 

Qualifications:

•Highly proficient in 3D Studio Max, Maya or XSI

•Proficient in Photoshop

•Undergraduate degree, or distinguished college coursework in relevant fields, or proven portfolio of industry experience

•Must have worked on and shipped a successful AAA title as a Concept Artist

•4+ years experience of game art or related experience

•Minimum 2 game titles completed
