A semi-official Infinity Ward Twitter page has become flooded with ideas on what should feature in the next Call of Duty title.
Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward’s director of communications, set up the Twitter page and asked users what they would like to see in the upcoming Call of Duty title. 232 pages of responses have come forward since, with answers to the question spilling over into a separate topic of discussion, now weighing in at 1,985 pages.
Writing on his FourZeroTwo blog, Bowling says that the page had quickly became one of the most talked about topics on Twitter after the community manager posted the simple question; “Name one thing you’d like to see in Modern Warfare 2.”
As well as submit responses, Twitter users can vote on suggestions, allowing particular ideas to rise in the ranks and sit right in view of the upcoming game’s designers. Developers have traditionally been coy on allowing user suggestions for their titles, especially considering that a significant idea could always lead to a court case on who invented it, so it’s not understood how much the Infinity Ward team will embrace the suggestions brought forward by the community.
Bowling adds that Twitter will be used in the future to inform users of future events, beta tests, and community days.
Ah, so they insurrected an itty bitty Inifity Twitty committee.
