Japanese multimedia entertainment group Marvelous is currently seeking voluntary retirement from around twenty of its staff.

The company states that this target range for voluntary retirement accounts for around 17 percent of its workforce. A severance package has been prepared for those twenty workers, but will only be available for those who decide to retire before April 3.

Staff will officially retire on April 30 if they volunteer. It is not known what measures the management will take if voluntary retirement targets are not met.

Marvelous was recently confirmed as the publisher for Suda51’s next No More Heroes title in Japan. The company has a North American co-publishing contract with XSEED Games, and also has interests in the London-based joint venture Rising Star Games.
