A new study by Harris Interactive has found that almost one in four UK households has a games console.
Having questioned over 2,000 UK residents before Christmas and then again in February as part of its Fast Forward study, Harris found that spending on home entertainment, and specifically console adoption, are on the rise, reports MCV.
Wii ownership jumped five percent among those questioned, with Harris claiming that 23 percent of UK households now have a games console.
“It seems that the investment in home entertainment will mean people saving money by staying in, and preparing for some tough months ahead,” said Harris Interactive’s research director, Steve Evans.
