Begbies Traynor, the adminstrators for ailing APB developer Realtime Worlds, has announced that 23 members of staff have been re-employed. The staff were part of the 60 strong Dundee team which was working on social game Project MyWorld, and were all made redundant earlier in the month.
“As a smaller entity Project MyWorld is attracting considerable interest from potential buyers," says joint administrator of Begbies Traynor Ken Pattullo, "and 23 members of the team who had been working on the project clearly add value to it as a standalone business, hence the fact we have been able to offer a limited number of those jobs back."
Realtime Worlds went into administration on Tuesday. Several publishers and developers have announced recruitment meetings in Dundee hoping to attract staff.
