Koelnmesse, organiser of August’s Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany, has announced that 300 exhibitors from 25 countries have signed up for the new trade show.

MD Oliver Kuhrt said that all of the games industry’s key players would be present at the Koelnmesse Trade Fair Tower, which offers 120,000 square metres of exhibition space.

"Every visitor from the games community will find the right emphasis - from casual to core - in every entertainment hall," said Kuhrt.

Last year the German publishers association, BIU, opted to back Koelnmesse’s Gamescom show from 2009, having previously supported Games Convention in Leipzig. The 2008 Games Convention event attracted a record-breaking 203,000 visitors.

Gamescom will run from August 19-23, 2009.
