Nintendo has confirmed an updated list of Wii launch window games, reflecting strong third party support out of the gate.
Three of the games come from Nintendo itself, but the rest of the list shows companies like Activision, Midway, THQ and Ubisoft leading the Wii third party pack in terms of support. The lack of strong third party support for its game consoles has been an issue that the Kyoto-based company is trying to remedy.
Not all titles will be immediately available on Wii’s launch date November 19, but a statement said that the titles will be available within the first five weeks of launch.
Nintendo also had announced 30 downloadable retro games for the Wii Virtual Console.
