343 Industries’ Halo 4 Global Championship begins on July 5

The Halo 4 Global Championship begins this Friday, marking the start of five weeks of competition.

There will be “multiple live events” during the competition and the grand prize is $200,000. It begins at the Rooster Teeth Expo on July 5 and then continues over Xbox Live from July 15.

Players will compete in free-for-all matches over a series of qualifying rounds, with winners decided on average scores and elimination matches. The finals will then take place in Seattle from August 31 to September 1 – there’s more information at the competition’s official site.
