343 Industries has announced that Kojima Productions’ music composer, Sotaro Tojima, has joined Microsoft’s Halo franchise development company.
A simple announcement of the position was made via 343’s Twitter account: “We're excited to announce our newest member of the 343 family, Audio Director, Sotaro Tojima from Kojima Productions!”
No further information was released about the projects he’ll work on. Tojima was largely responsible for the audio on both Castlevania: Circle of the Moon and, more recently, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for PS3.
343 Industries is the publisher of the Halo series, which, as part of Microsoft Game Studios, oversees the Halo franchise. This isn’t just limited to games though. The firm oversees novels, comics, licensed collectibles and even apparel for the Xbox-exclusive gaming franchise. It is currently overseeing a series of Halo animation shorts due for release next year.
