3D Realms co-founder Scott Miller has denied reports that the developer received cash from Take-Two when the publisher picked up the rights to Duke Nukem Forever.

According to Miller, 3D Realms saw none of the $12 million Take-Two paid Infogrames for publishing rights to the title back in 2000.

"No. We didn't get a penny of that money," wrote Miller on ShackNews. "This, along with so much else, is 100 percent spin, being eaten up by those who have no clue whatsoever. But, we cannot talk yet. We will, soon.”

Miller’s comments come after Take-Two launched legal action against the developer for failing to complete Duke Nukem Forever after 12 years of development.

ShackNews has also published copies of legal documents filed by Take-Two, revealing that the company hopes to force 3D Realms to "maintain and enforce all security measures necessary to preserve the integrity of [the Duke Nukem Forever source] code" and prevent it from "disclosing, distributing transferring or selling... any proprietary information related to DNF."

The firm also requested a copy of the game's existing source and object code to ensure that it remains unharmed.
