3DS firmware update due this week
A new firmware update will be released for 3DS this Wednesday, Nintendo has announced.
The update will enable users to create folders on the 3D handheld's home menu to better organise their games and apps. Each folder can hold up to 60 icons.
It will also add functionality enabling Nintendo to patch games; one of the first titles to be updated will be Mario Kart 7, due in mid-May, with Nintendo set to fix "unfair shortcuts" such as the Wuhu Mountain Loop glitch.
The update was revealed during the Nintendo Direct web stream on Saturday, during which Satoru Iwata unveiled New Super Mario Bros 2 for 3DS. Our friends at Nintendo Gamer have summarised all the salient details; for more, follow the source link below.
