4mm Games Opens European Office

Def Jam Rapstar developer also appoints OBE and former NCsoft Europe CEO Geoff Heath to its advisory board.

4mm Games has opened a new London office and appointed industry veteran Geoff Heath to its advisory board.

Established last year by Rockstar co-founders Jamie King and Gary Foreman, the New York-based company is currently co-developing Def Jam Rapstar for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii, which it bills as "the first true interactive Hip Hop music game experience for consoles".

Its new London office will focus on sales and marketing efforts, while OBE and former NCsoft Europe CEO Heath will help the firm establish its presence in the European market, “as well as providing wider strategic input”.

”In my career in the video games industry, I have rarely come across such a passionate, creative and talented management team as the guys at 4mm,” said Heath. “I am thrilled to be a part of their future success and use the great things I’ve learned over the years to support them in becoming the major global player I know they are destined to be.”

According to 4mm’s mission statement, the company aims to forge a new approach to content creation - “Constantly Connected Gaming” – by developing “online worlds that will define social gaming”.
