Activision Appoints New COO

Thomas Tippl to resign as CFO; Salary and stock options detailed.

Activision has announced that its chief financial officer, Thomas Tippl, will become publisher's chief operating officer and will also be retiring from his role as chief corporate officer.

Tippl, who will continue on as CFO until a replacement is found, will be earning $850,000 per year going forward. He will also receive annual percentage rises in his salary and, depending on the performance of the company, Tippl may also earn a bonus of 120 per cent.

The new COO will also be entitled to a variety of performance based stock rewards, such as: "an option to purchase 525,000 shares of the Company’s common stock and 350,000 restricted share units representing the right to receive shares of the Company’s common stock."
