The current exhibitor list for the Entertainment Software Association-held event shows that Activision has a booth at this year's convention, which is slated for June 2-4 at the Los Angeles Convention Center (pictured).
Last year, Activision held its own press conference during the week of E3.
The ESA canned the large scale E3 format after the 2006 show, turning the event into a low-key "media and business summit" with much more selective attendee registration. After major publishers including EA and Ubisoft publicly criticized the neutered event, the ESA announced in October last year that the glitzy E3 would return in 2009.
Now, nearly all major game makers are on board.
At the height of its attendance, E3 played host to 70K attendees. E3 2007, the first year for the smaller, more intimate format, brought in around 5,000.
This year, the ESA lessened the restrictions on attendance, although the event is still limited to industry professionals. According to the organization, attendees will need to submit two pieces of "direct and current industry identification," or else they will not be permitted to enter E3.
