Game's reward card scheme has been reactivated by its administrators, PWC.
In a series of tweets, the retailer confirms that the loyalty scheme, which was shut down on Monday, is back online – giving a glimmer of hope to the retailer's prospects of a positive outcome from administration.
There's a catch, however: while reward points can be earned on all purchases, they can only be redeemed against pre-owned stock. Only reward cards are back online: gift cards, the GameWallet scheme, and Gamestation's Elite loyalty programme are still out of action.
This morning sources claimed a takeover bid led by RBS, Game's largest creditor, was close to striking a deal to save the retailer, with a possible exit from administration before the end of the week.
