Codemasters Guildford general manager Adrian Bolton has left the developer, as reported by Eurogamer. His departure follows creative director Stuart Black's exit in July.
"He's left, but I don't think the company centres around one person," says Codemasters CEO, Rod Cousens. "If I left I don't think the company falls over. Someone will fill the void. I don't see it as any threat to either the well-being of the product, the well-being of the studio or the well-being of the company."
According to Cousens, 70 - 80 people continue to work on the developers upcoming FPS shooter, Bodycount, a spiritual successor to EA's Black. The game's scheduled release has now slipped to Summer 2011.
"The remit within Codemasters is not to compromise the quality of any content we publish," added Cousens. "We're not prepared to compromise the game. In common with other software publishers, has that resulted in delays? It's absolutely resulted in some delays."
