All Sony online games to use PSN Pass

Sony has confirmed that an online pass system “will be incorporated into Uncharted 3 and future Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios games with online functionality".

"We will provide further information in the future,” the firm told Destructoid.

In June, Sony announced plans to introduce an online pass system which would see new copies of select firstparty games ship with a single-use code required to access their full online feature set, beginning with September’s Resistance 3.

"This program will be game-specific,” it said at the time. “This is an important initiative as it allows us to accelerate our commitment to enhancing premium online services across our first party game portfolio."

It's a good idea.

Having not played Resistance 3; is the online pass available on the PSN store? If so, how much is it?
I don't tend to play much online, so can probably stick to my stingey used-copy puchasing habits..

I am only interested in the campaign so this won't bother me much. I'll just buy it used, or possibly rent it if I do get Gamefly. It'll be strictly for the campaign. I was already on the fence about buying it, but this sealed the deal for me.

It has been pretty apparent for any very long time the second-hands marketplace is harmful (especially because it is increasingly mistreated, like major grocery stores within the United kingdom trying to obtain the act).

Why the requirement for all the games to possess multiplayer? Even RPGs like Mass Effect think that they require multiplayer. More often than not it's pointless, however it appears that individuals nowadays don't appear to have the ability to play just one player game anymore.
