Alten8 on the Expansion Path
Recently relocated UK publisher Alten8 is planning to grow its internal development team over the coming months as it gears up to announce a number of new game projects.
Last week the company moved its offices to Basepoint Business and Innovation Centre in Luton, Bedfordshire (pictured), an £18.5m project housing 100 business units and set within 85-acres of parkland. It says that its new offices will enable it to accommodate new staff members that will be taken on in the coming months as the company announces new game projects.
“Alten8 is keen to hear from any party interested in Alten8′s growth, and wishing to assist or invest in this growth, of a dynamic, forward looking, progressive multimedia company,” it said in a statement.
The company, which currently has a number of projects in the works for Xbox 360, Wii, DS and PC, hit the headlines earlier this week when the New York Times alleged that Nintendo of America was set to block the release of Imagination is the Only Escape, a Holocaust-themed title for DS. “This game is only in early stages, no one has blocked it, and it has no definitive time scale for release yet,” countered Alten8 CEO Paul Andrews.
