In-app purchasing for Android software is to launch next week, Google has announced.
In a post on the Android developers blog, Google’s Eric Chu confirms that the feature, which was made available to developers in January, is now in final testing ahead of a full launch next week.
To prepare for launch, Google has opened up the Android Market to allow developers to upload and test the feature in their apps, creating a catalogue of virtual items and setting prices for them. However, apps won’t be released to the public until the service officially launches.
