Last week we reported that the Classification Review Board received an application from Sega to review the classification of Aliens vs Predator, which was classified RC (Refused Classification) by the Classification Board on December 3, 2009.
Sega Australia has now successfully appealed the ban on Aliens vs. Predator and the title has now received 15 rating meaning it can be released.
"It is with great pleasure that we announce the success of our appeal," said Sega Australia president, Darren Macbeth. "We are particularly proud that the game will be released in its original entirety, with no content altered or removed whatsoever. This is a big win for Australian gamers. We applaud the Classification Review Board on making a decision that clearly considers the context of the game, and is in line with the modern expectations of reasonable Australians."
