The music game, a sequel to one of Nintendo’s Japan-only DS launch titles, sold just 47,000 units to secure first place during the week ended July 6, having debuted at No3 the week prior.
Sales of the top ten titles totaled just 300,000 units, a figure surpassed by the previous week’s top three alone. Sega’s Initial D Extreme Stage for PS3 was new at No2, while Derby Stallion DS dropped from first to third.
Wii Fit jumped two places to No4, followed by a new entry form Square Enix, Nanashi no Game for DS, at No5.
Mario Kart Wii took the No6 spot, Bandai Namco’s Tales of Symphonia Dawn of a New World for Wii was at No7, while Super Mario Stadium Family Baseball, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G rounded off the top ten.
