Batman: Arkham Origins revealed, set for current-gen in October


Batman: Arkham Origins is to be released on October 25th on Wii U, PS3, 360 and PC, the new issue of Game Informer has revealed.

Warner Bros. Games Montreal has taken over development duties on the new Batman game from Arkham Asylum and Arkham City developer Rocksteady. The UK studio has given WB Montreal “full access to Rocksteady’s custom modified Unreal engine” to create the title, which stars “a young, unrefined Batman”. It is set in Gotham City on Christmas eve, and villain Deathstroke will appear, Game Informer confirmed.

Eric Holmes is overseeing Arkham Origins as creative director at WB Montreal, having previously worked on The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and Prototype. You can watch Game Informer’s reveal video below:
