Capcom Entertainment has recruited a former Midway marketing exec as VP of marketing, as the company prepares for high-profile 2009 launches including Street Fighter IV and Resident Evil 5.
Mona Hamilton will oversee marketing for Capcom North America, and is tasked with product marketing, creative services and communications.
Hamilton worked with Chicago-based Mortal Kombat house Midway Games for five years, where she was marketing VP. She left the company earlier this year amidst a number of executive departures and layoffs at the beleaguered game maker.
“Capcom has a number of high profile titles coming and her skill set will bring a critical level of organization and creativity to help support the company’s corporate goals," said Mark Beaumont, COO and head of Western operations for Capcom.
