Carmageddon: Reincarnation goes next-gen after funding boost
Stainless Games’ Carmageddon: Reincarnation is being developed for next-gen platforms after a $3.5 million funding round.
Studio shareholder Les Edgar, founder of Bullfrog Productions and former VP of EA’s European Studios helped to secure the extra cash following a Kickstarter for the PC release.
“We are delighted to have fully funded Carmageddon: Reincarnation without having to go outside of the collective of our own company, shareholders and fans,” said CEO and co-founder of Stainless Games Patrick Buckland. “It allows us to maintain a true independence and creative control whilst not having to compromise quality or content by budgetary constraints.”
Stainless also released the original Carmageddon on iOS last year, and an Android port is on its way.
