The Californian outfit’s previous work, the four-player scrolling fighter Castle Crashers, was the best-selling XBLA title last year, according to Microsoft. Behemoth artist Dan Paladin, writing in his blog, adds that the game’s leaderboards “reflect 601,000 players right now.”
Yet Paladin was less forthcoming when it came to details on the team’s new title, simply stating that The Behemoth is “prototyping” the new game, which “has proven to be a lot of fun for the people that we’ve shown.”
The Behemoth has published two titles so far; Alien Hominid and the aforementioned Castle Crashers, both of which adopt Paladin’s signature visual style. “Perhaps we can start posting imagery later on and begin a guessing game about the game. It’s like two games in one! Maybe we’ll just flat out tell you, though, and ruin the guessing game.”
