Castle Crashers has “become the fastest growing XBLA game in history,” according to independent developer The Behemoth.
Released in August 2008, the side-scrolling beat ’em up was last year’s bestselling Xbox Live Arcade title, and it has now hit one million players, according to the game’s leaderboards.
“This is really big news,” said Castle Crashers lead artist, Dan Paladin. “Less than ten months after the game’s release I have witnessed 1,000,000 of my friends on the Castle Crashers leaderboards."
Impressive figures. The Behemoth must be overjoyed with those sales.
This news kind of takes the steam out of the Sony press release celebrating 100K copies of FFVII.
Not really, Castle crashers has been available on XBLA for quite some time now, where as FFVII was a recent addition and has sold 100k quite quickly (although im suprised its not more).
Castle crashers is a great game and deserves a lot of credit. I bought it when I had mates round and we couldn't decide what to play, 4 player co ops that people can just drop into are rare in boxed form :) so we went to the arcade and picked this up... great fun all round.
please the fastest you wish

Regardless of silly statements, Castle Crashers fully deserves it's success, and I hope their next project surpasses the last.
