Poland-based developer and publisher City Interactive has made a number of executive appointments as it expands into the North and Latin American markets.
The company has appointed former IBM and Price Waterhouse employee Gabriel Del Castillo to the position of CEO Americas, and ex-Nintendo and Take-Two staffer Lisa Rivera as VP of sales for North America as it gears up to launch its first titles in the US.
“City Interactive is pleased to have such a great team in place to spearhead our expansion,” said Marek Tyminski, City Interactive CEO and founder.
“Because Art of Murder (pictured) is one of the best-selling adventure games in Europe and the best-selling game in the history of our company, it’s a natural product for our North American and Latin American launches.”
The company, which has four in-house development studios located across Poland and Peru, will launch its first US titles, PC adventure game Art of Murder: FBI Confidential and Code of Honor 2, a first-person shooter for the PC, later this summer.
Del Castillo added, “We are starting with PC games, but we will soon establish the company as a multiplatform publisher. With our global know-how and great game content, we’re set to make an impact from the start.”
