Codemasters Terminates Heist

Publisher says its future release schedule will only focus on high quality titles.

UK-based publisher and developer Codemasters has terminated its multiplatform action game, Heist.

In a statement released to CVG the company said that it had “terminated Heist as a project” adding it was now focusing on “high quality titles”.

"After a much extended development period, Heist has been terminated as a project and removed from our release schedule," a spokesperson told CVG.

“Codemasters is focusing its future portfolio on high quality titles that will, in the majority, be developed and produced by our internal studios."

Heist was described as a criminal action game set in San Francisco, California, circa 1969. It was being developed by inXile Entertainment for release on PC, 360 and PS3.
